Vocational Rehabilitation is a joint State/Federal program that seeks to empower people to make informed choices, build viable careers, and live more independently in the community.

New Hampshire Vocational Rehabilitation (NHVR) is a division of the Department of Education that helps persons with disabilities help themselves to get a job, keep the job, and develop a life time career. NHVR has seven regional offices throughout the state designed to assist persons who have physical, mental, emotional and learning disabilities

For many Americans with disabilities, Independent Living means freedom – the freedom to make choices in their lives taking an active part in daily living at home and in the community, which some people take for granted, can be difficult for a person with a   significant disability. Castagna Consulting Group has worked with NHVR to design and facilitate the modifications to homes of qualified individuals under this program. Innovation, ingenuity, and practical solutions are the usual procedures in coming up with solutions that the disabled require to be able to function in their home. In the past we have custom made work spaces to accommodate wheelchair bound individuals, automated systems to operate doors and entrances, installation of wheelchair lifts and ramps and bathroom modifications have all been part of the work that we have done for the many clients of this program. We have been challenged with having to solve these issues with a conservative budget,. Working with the great people of NHVR However, has made this a successful team effort for the many clients we have been able to help
