We regularly prepare and update master schedules for large or complex construction projects. The master schedule is in a critical-path-method (CPM) format and portrays summary level activities for each phase of the project, such as preliminary design, final design, bidding/award, construction, and start up. Additional detail can be added as the project is further developed and executed.
We will often review contractor’s CPM schedule submittals on behalf of owners, architects, and engineers to determine whether the schedule is reasonable and complies with the contract times and mandated sequences. As the project proceeds, we review updates and revisions of schedules to confirm that actual performance is reported correctly and that the basis for future schedule performance makes sense.
