Beantown Chemical (BTC) is a privately held startup company founded in 2013 that manufactures and distributes a line of specialty chemicals, including organics, inorganics, and metals.

Formed by a former president of Alfa Aesar, BTC currently offers over 7,000 products that are sold for research and development primarily to the pharmaceutical and chemical  industries, government institutions and academia.

When it came time to find a home for the new company, Castagna Consulting Group was called having worked with the former management team at Alfa Aesar for the last 20+ years.

Existing facilities in Massachusetts and New Hampshire were explored. Due to the volatile nature of high hazard   chemical storage, the options were few. After months of research, Castagna Consulting Group was able to find an existing facility in the industrial park in   Hudson, NH.

Chemical facility design and construction has become a niche market for Castagna Consulting Group. Security and safety as well as being well versed in the code requirements go into all of our chemical facility designs.

Over the years technology has changed that have allowed the installation of more sophisticated and reliable equipment to ensure that this chemical warehouse and distribution center is a safe and secure environment. With an integrated back-net system in place, all the components of the facility from HVAC to electrical to fire alarm, suppression and security are monitored 24/7. Each hazard room is independently isolated from each other and the other parts of the building so if an incident ever occurs in a particular room, it is completely contained without effecting the rest of the operation.
